BSF Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2019 Selection Process:
Selection will be made through PST & PET, Trade Test, Written Test, Medical Examination.
BSF 1763 Constable Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2019:
A. Phase-I Examination
(1) Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test
Event: Race
For Male Candidate: 5 Kms completed within 24 min
For Female Candidate: 1.6 Kms completed within 8.30 min
(2). Trade Test
Each candidate will be allowed to appear for one trade test only. The trade test will be qualifying in nature and it will not carry any marks.
(i) Cobbler:- Polishing of shoes, handling tools, cutting of leather, repair & stitching of shoes.
(ii) Tailor:- Taking measurement of persons, cutting of cloth and stitching of uniform.
(iii) Carpenter:-Handling of tools, cutting of wood, fitting, polishing and finishing of material.
(iv) Cook:- Cooking of Chappatti & Rice, Cooking of vegetable/Dal/Sambhar/Idli etc. for 100 men, cooking of meat/fish/egg/kheer.
(v) Water Carrier: Washing of utensils, kneading of Atta for making chappattis for about 100 men and cutting of vegetable etc.
(vi) Washer man:- Washing of clothes, Ironing of Khaki, Cotton uniform, woolen and TC uniform.
(vii) Barber:- Handling of tools, haircutting and shaving.
(viii) Sweeping, cleaning of toilets and bathroom etc.
(ix) Waiter:- Hygiene/sanitation, servicing of foods and allied matters.
B. Phase-II Examination
(i) Written Test
Full Marks= 100
Duration: 2 hrs (120 min)
Qualifying Marks: Gen & ESM-35%, SC/ST/OBC-33%

Phase-III Examination
(i) Detailed Medical Examination: The candidates who are qualify all the above stages such PST, PET, Documentation, Trade Test and Written Test will through Detailed Medical Examination (DME) will be conducted by Medical Board of Officers to assess their physical & medical fitness.
(ii) Review Medical Examination: The candidates who are declared Unit in Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and not satisfied with the findings of the Initial Medical Examination can submit their appeal within 15 days from the date of medical examination for appearing in Review Medical Examination.
