About West Bengal University of Health Sciences ( WBUHS ):
The West Bengal University of Health Sciences ( WBUHS ) has been set up by an Act of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in the year 2003 for better management of the health and medical education related courses which were so far taught separately by the University of Calcutta, and the Universities of Burdwan and North Bengal. All the courses have been brought under one umbrella for helping in upgrading the level of teaching in the state.
Educational Qualification:
For M.Sc Nursing: The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council and candidate should be B.Sc degree in Nursing / B.Sc ( Hons ) degree in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc ( Hons ) with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the above exams from any Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council ( INC ). Candidate must have minimum one year of working experience. For candidates with Post Basic B.Sc Degree minimum, one year of working experience is required prior or after obtaining the degree of Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. Candidates who have acquired a degree of B.Sc/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing through Distance Education are not eligible. Two years of working experience is required for such candidates who obtained their degree through Distance Education.
For Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination. The candidates must qualify in Joint Entrant Examination ( JENPAUH ) & candidates must not be below 17 years of age on the 31″ December of the year of admission. Only female candidates who have passed HS Examination with PCBE and obtained pass marks in each subject. Percentage of marks to be eligible will depend upon the decisions of Central Selection Committee (Nursing) &/ not less than INC criteria. Only rank holders of JENPAUH Examination are eligible for the course.
About Courses:
M.Sc Nursing: On the basis of the results of the West Bengal Post Graduate Nursing Admission Test Exam ( WBPGNAT-2020 ) to be conducted by WBUHS. This is a full time ( regular ) 2 Years Course.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: On the basis of the results of the West Bengal Nursing Admission Test Exam ( WBNAT-2020 ) to be conducted by the WBUHS. This is a full time ( regular ) 2 Years Course.
Selection Criteria:
Separate Counselling will be held for M.Sc Nursing & Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. Admission to M.Sc Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc Nursing in different Institutions will be made through online. For more details refer official notification.
Application Fee:
Candidates should have to pay as application fee of Rs.3000/- for WBPGNAT and Rs.2000/- for WBNAT through online or offline. Online deposition can be done through net banking or Credit/ Debit Card system through an online interface, the link for which will be made available in website buhsexams.in.

Importance Notice About WBPGNAT & WBNAT 2020: The West Bengal University of Health Sciences has recently declared an important notice that the West Bengal Post Graduate Nursing Admission Test (WBPGNAT) 2017 & West Bengal Nursing Admission Test (WBNAT) 2020 Entrance Examinations test will not be held on As New Update. The date of examinations will be announced immediately after the restoration of road and railway communications. The cause for changing the exam date that the road and railway communications at various parts of Northern part of the State have disrupted that’s why many aspiring candidates of those affected districts will not be able to appear the exam.
WBUHS WBNAT & WBPGNAT Exam 2020: The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) has recently announced a notification that West Bengal Post Graduate Nursing Admission Test 2020(WBPGNAT 2020) and West Bengal Nursing Admission Test 2020 (WBNAT 2020) scheduled to be held on  2020 could not be held due to disruption of both Rail & Road Service due to flood in North Bengal and to that effect. Now, the situation has partially been improved. Considering the cut-off date of admission as per Regulation of Indian Council and intervening Durga Puja holidays for 13 days, the University now intends to hold the aforesaid Entrance Examinations on  2020 without any break at the same venue as mentioned in the Admit Card already issued online to the candidate.
