About Southfield College Darjeeling:
Southfield College was founded as Loreto College in Darjeeling in August 1961 as a Women’s College. At the request of the Government of West Bengal, the Irish Branch of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Darjeeling Loreto Educational Society agreed to take care of its management. However, due to the lack of personnel, the Loreto nuns were compelled to hand over the college to the Govt. of West Bengal, hence to be run as Southfield College.

Eligibility Criteria for Southfield College Darjeeling UG Part 1 Admission With Merit List – Apply Online for UG Courses in 1st Year BA Hons & Gen Courses Session 2021-22
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants for the Degree Courses (three years General/three year Honours) must have passed (class-XII) ISC/CBSE/HS/NIOS or equivalent examination recognized by the University of North Bengal (NBU).
Reservation of Seats / Intake Seat Capacity for Southfield College Darjeeling Admission 2021:
Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC will be according to Govt. regulation. Two seats are reserved under supernumerary quota for students from Jammu & Kashmir.
Counselling Date for Southfield College Darjeeling 1st Year Admission 2021:
After online form fills up students are to come to college with downloaded payment slip & filled up a hard copy of the online form for physical verification along with the original mark sheet of the last examination passed along with one xerox copy (not-attested).
During Counselling following documents must be produced:
1. Original Mark sheet of the last examination passed along with 3 xerox copy (not-attested).
2. Original Character Certificate + one xerox copy.
3. Original Migration Certificate in case of students Migration from another University / Board.
4. Original copy of Transfer Certificate from the last School attended.
5. Date of Birth Certificate (ICSE or Madhyamik Admit Card) + one xerox copy.

Southfield College Darjeeling Part 1 Merit List 2021:
Admission will be strictly on merit basis. For admission to Honours Courses, merit point is to be calculated by adding 10% of the total marks obtained in the Best Five subjects & the marks obtained in the subject in which the admission in Honours Cours is sought. Merit point for admission to General Course is to be calculated by adding the marks obtained in Best Five subjects. Admission is carried out strictly on the basis of Merit List published by the college authority. All the admission were completed in accordance with the North Bengal University norms & Govt. Order.
