About Santipur College:
Santipur College is established in 1948. It is a college in Santipur, in Nadia District, West Bengal, India. It offers Undergraduate Courses in Arts & Science. It is affiliated to the University of Kalyani. The college was established on 22 July 1948 by local educationists of Santipur & under the guidance of the then Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha Pandit Laxmi Kanta Maitra. Santipur college started its functioning at the Karjala Garden House of Mr. Atal Bihari Maitra & was initially affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The journey that commenced in a two-storied building initially with 48 students only. In the session 2014-2015, the college had 15 departments & catered to the needs of 4690 students. The college is now affiliated with the University of Kalyani. Santipur College was awarded B+ grade by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Candidates must have taken admission for three-year Undergraduate Courses in Arts, Commerce & Sciences (Honours/General/Major) from the Academic Session 2021-22. Educational Qualification:
Candidate may be admitted to the 1st year of 3-year BA/B.Com (Hons/Gen) Courses of studies on passing HS (10+2) exam in General or Vocational stream conducted by the WB Council of HS Education or an equivalent exam conducted by other State Board/Council or Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya or National Open School recognized by the Distant Learning Council. Candidates passing HS exam from Vocational stream conducted by the WB Council of HS Education or any other equivalent Board/Council are eligible for admission in general courses provided that the candidate must have passed in five recognized subjects, of which one shall be English, in the previously qualified exam.
i) A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate & 55% marks in the subject of related subject at the previous qualifying examination or
ii) 50% marks in aggregate & 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination, or
iii) 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in his / her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied (especially University Rules-5).
Santipur College Nadia Part I Merit List Publication Date 2021:
Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit. Merit list will be prepared uniformly on the basis of the following criteria:
(i) In case of Honours Courses: Aggregate (as per previous explanation) plus the marks obtained in the subject in which he/she intends to take up Honours or related subject. However, students who avail themselves of Rule 3(III) will not get the benefit of related subject.
(ii) In case of Major & General Courses: Merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate.
