Rani Dhanya Kumari College is established in 1962. It is a General Degree College in Murshidabad District. It offers Undergraduate Courses in Arts & Commerce. Sengupta established the college on August 01, 1962. The college started its functioning in the evening shift in the premises of the neighbouring Sripat Singh College. Educational Qualification:
Candidate may be admitted to the 1st year of 3-year BA/B.Com (Hons/Gen) Courses of studies on passing HS (10+2) exam in General or Vocational stream conducted by the WB Council of HS Education or an equivalent examination conducted by other State Board/Council or Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya or National Open School recognized by the Distant Learning Council. Candidates passing HS exam from Vocational stream conducted by the WB Council of HS Education or any other equivalent Board/Council are eligible for admission in general courses provided that the candidate must have passed in five recognized subjects, of which one shall be English, in the previous qualifying examination.
i) A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate & 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination or
ii) 50% marks in aggregate & 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination, or
iii) 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in his / her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied (especially University Rules-5).
