About Pritilata Waddedar Mahavidyalaya Panikhali Nadia:
Pritilata Waddedar Mahavidyalaya is a college in Nadia District. It was founded as Women’s College, now it is co-educational. It offers Undergraduate Courses in Arts. It is affiliated to the University of Kalyani. The name commemorates the legacy of freedom fighter & revolutionary Pritilata Waddedar. In 2007 they established Pritilata Mahila Mahavidyalaya with the girl’s education affiliated with the University of Kalyani. Initially, the classes ware taken at Jugal Kishore S.S. Sikhyatan. After that, with financial aid from Rajyasabha M.P. Khabiruddin Ahmed & local MLA Dabendranath Biswas, the college building & infrastructure was developed. In 2009 classes & administrative work were shifted to the present premises.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates may be admitted to the first year of 3-year BA (Hons/General/Major) Courses of studies on passing HS (10+2) examination in General or Vocational stream conducted by the WB Council of HS Education or an equivalent examination conducted by other State Board / Council or Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya or National Open School recognized by the Distant Learning Council. A candidate taking up Hons course in a subject must have obtained: (i) A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate & 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. OR (ii) 50% marks in aggregate & 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying exam OR (iii) 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in his / her previous qualifying exam provided all other clauses are satisfied (especially Rule 5).

(ii) In case of Major & General Courses: Merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate.
