North Bengal ST Xavier’s College, Jalpaiguri was the third Jesuit college established in the northern area of West Bengal, India. Founded in 2007, it offers Undergraduate Courses in Arts, Sciences & Commerce & is affiliated to the University of North Bengal. Educational Qualification:
Applicants must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education in 10+2 pattern after a period of twelve years of study or an examination by other boards recognized as equivalent by the University of North Bengal. Applicants from ISC, CBSE, National Open School or other recognized Boards must have passed in at least 4 subjects (excluding Environmental studies) with English as a compulsory subject. For Hons courses, an applicant must have obtained either 55% marks in the aggregate or 50% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject. For SC/ST candidates the minimum marks of 50% marks in the aggregate or 45% in the aggregate with 60% in the subject concerned. For Gen courses, an applicant must have passed with at least 40% in the aggregate.

Calculation of Merit Point: Merit Point = (2S + T)/6, T = Marks secured by a candidate at the HS or equivalent examination in English + Marks obtained in the subject opted for Honours + Best marks of only other two subjects (excluding the marks secured in Environmental Studies / Science / Education & the subject opted for Honours).
