The same for SC/ST category students is 50% marks in aggregate or 60% marks in relevant subject opted for Honours & 45% marks in aggregate. All students of HS (Vocational) course shall be admitted only in the 1st year General Course of BA.

Candidates will be selected according to their merit for each Honours subject separately. Formula for calculation of merit = (2xs + T)/6. Where S stands for the subject & T stands for the subjects are English + subject in Hons + Two other high scoring subjects. Formula simplified: For Hons in English: 4 x English + other two high scoring subjects, For Hons in Bengali: 3 x Bengali + English + two other high scoring subjects. While calculating the aggregate of Marks of best four passed subjects is to be considered excluding compulsory Environmental Education/studies.
