Educational Qualification
Applicants who have passed Higher Secondary Exam (10+2) or its equivalent from recognized Board/ Institute are eligible to apply for UG courses.
For Honours Course: Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with 45% marks in the subject or relevant subjects at the previous qualifying examination in which the subject is included. ORÂ 55% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. ORÂ 50% marks in aggregate when the candidate takes up honours in the subject not included in his / her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied.
For SC/ST Students: The Calcutta University has prescribed that A candidate taking up honours must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate or 40% marks in the subject in the previous qualifying examination.
