About Footwear Design and Development Institute, Noida
Footwear Design & Development Institute was established in 1986, under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India with major objectives: (1) To Develop Human Resources within the country by imparting appropriate knowledge and skills to promote the rapid growth of footwear and allied industry in the country. Eligibility Criteria for FDDI AIST 2018 – All India Selection Test
For Bachelor Degree (B.Des) programmes: Candidates should have passed 10+2 / Intermediate from a recognized board or Institute. Candidates appearing in 10+2 may also apply for FDDI admission.
>> Candidates who have attempted CAT/MAT/XAT are eligible for exemption from appearing in the online test of FDDI.
>> Candidates appearing for CAT/MAT/XAT will also have the option to appear for FDDI online test. In that case, the better of two exams i.e. CAT/MAT/XAT or FDDI written exam will be considered for the merit of selection.
>> The common merit list of online test will be prepared for candidates appeared in test of FDDI and applied under CAT & MAT category.
For Master Degree programmes:
M. Des. – Footwear Design & Production: Candidate is required to be a Graduate in Footwear / LGAD / Design / Engineering / Production / Technology or any other related programme.
M.Des- CAD: Candidate is required to be a Graduate in Footwear / LGAD / Design / Engineering / Production / Technology/Fine arts or any other related programme.
M.B.A (Retail & Fashion Merchandise): Graduate in any discipline, Candidates appearing in final year may also apply for all Master Degree programmes.
Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be 25 years as on 25th July 2018 can appear for FDDI AIST 2018 for UG admissions. However, there is no age restriction for aspirants applying for PG course admissions.
Application Fee: Candidates should have to pay as registration fee of Rs. 500/- through online.
FDDI Entrance Test Exam Patten
FDDI entrance test shall be for 225 hours (Two and half hours) duration and conducted in English & Hindi languages. There will be a total of 200 objective type questions. The examination would comprise of the following sections:
For Bachelor Degree Programmes
Section A: Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks)
Section B: Verbal Ability (50 Marks)
Section C: General Awareness (50 Marks)
Section D: Business Aptitude Test (BAT) for B.Des- RFM or Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for Design Programmes (B.Des-FDP, B.Des-LGAD & B.Des-FD) (50 Marks)
For Master Degree Programmes
Section A: Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks)
Section B: English Comprehension & Analytical Ability (50 Marks)
Section C: General Knowledge & Current Affairs (50 Marks)
Section D: Management Aptitude for Management Programmes for MBA-RFM or Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for Design Programmes M.Des-FDP & M.Des-CAD (50 Marks)
How to Apply for FDDI AIST Exam 2018: Application form will be available on official site i.e. www.fddiindia.com, so interested & eligible candidates can apply online from 28.11.2017 to 02.04.2018. Candidates are required to fill Registration Form online as per the instructions mentioned and upload the requisite documents at the time of Registration. The important instructions for filling the form given below:
STEP 1. A candidate can apply for more than one programme by paying for a single registration form; for applying in multiple programmes candidate has to fill the programme code in accordance to their preference of programmes as mentioned in the Registration Form.
STEP 2. Candidates for Bachelor programme can apply for other Bachelor programmes only, in the same form by using the choice filling option available.
STEP 3. If a candidate wishes to apply for both BACHELOR & MASTER DEGREE programme, he/she has to fill two separate Online Registration forms.
STEP 4. Candidate can select the centre and date of his / her choice from the dates given on the Registration Form for appearing in AIST. Maximum efforts shall be made to accommodate the request on first come first serve basis. However, due to infrastructure constraints, a candidate may sometimes be asked to appear on other date/centre.
STEP 5. Candidates applying under the Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Disabled) must upload a self-attested documentary proof, as admissible.
STEP 6. Candidates applying under the exemption for the written exam must upload a scanned copy of his / her relevant score card or admit card (in case result is awaited) of the exam in which he/she has appeared.
STEP 7. Candidates are required to upload one recent passport size coloured photograph & fill in the personal details given in the Admit Card (Mandatory).
STEP 8. Signature of the students must be uploaded on the specified place.
STEP 9. The Registration Fee is Rs.500/- candidates have to pay this amount for Bachelor / Master programme he/she applies for.
STEP 10. Candidates facing technical problems while filling in the Registration Form may call 0120-4818400 (Weekdays between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm) except on Government holidays.
