Admission into different courses will be strictly on the basis of merit & availability of seats. Candidates will be selected according to their merit for each Honours subject separately. Formula for calculation of merit = (2xs + T)/6. Where S stands for the subject & T stands for the subjects are English + subject in Hons + Two other high scoring subjects. Formula simplified: For Hons in English: 4 x English + other two high scoring subjects, For Hons in Bengali: 3 x Bengali + English + two other high scoring subjects. While calculating the aggregate of Marks of best four passed subjects is to be considered excluding compulsory Environmental Education/studies.
