About Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)
Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted as per a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the convenience of the students seeking admission to various National Law Universities in the country. An entrance test is conducted to provide a list of candidates on the basis of merit-cum-preference to each University for admission to their Under-Graduate (UG)/Post-Graduate (PG) programmes, as per the eligibility, reservation and other criteria laid down under the respective statutes of the participating Universities.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), is an all India common entrance examination, conducted on a rotational basis by 19 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admission to their UG & PG degree programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2018 Examination – CLAT Exam Dates 2018

Educational Qualification:
For UG Integrated Courses: Candidates should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks in case of candidates belonging to unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons/NRI/NRI Sponsored categories and 45% of marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April 2018 are also eligible to apply.

For PG Course: Candidates should have an LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 55% of marks in case of candidates belonging to unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons/NRI/NRI Sponsored categories and 50% of marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April 2018 are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit:
There will be no upper age limit to apply for CLAT 2018 Exam.

CLAT 2018 Application Form
CLAT 2018 application form will be filled online only. The CLAT application form will be accessible from 1st January 2018. At the time of filling the application form, students are also required to fill the preference order for NLU’s. The candidates must upload the scanned copies of signature and photograph (30 mm × 45 mm) with size not more than 100 KB. No hard copy of filled-in application form is to be sent to the CLAT office.

Application Fee:
>> Application fee for General/OBC/SAP and other category candidates: Rs.4000/-
>> Application fee for SC/ST category candidates: Rs.3500/-
For payment of application fee, candidates are required to log in to the CLAT 2018 Online Application Webpage. The application fee shall be paid online through net-banking/ credit card/ pay wallet/ RuPay etc. or through offline mode by way of online-generated bank challan.

For UG Courses
>> Exam will be held in Online mode (Computer Based Test)
>> Only objective type questions of maximum 200 marks will be asked from each subject areas.
>> The duration of CLAT Exam will be 2 hours

CLAT 2018 Admit Card / Call Letter
The CLAT 2018 Admit Card/Hall Ticket can be downloaded by the candidate by logging into his/her LOGIN account from 20th April 2018. The candidates shall take a print out of the CLAT 2018 Admit Card/Hall Ticket and carry the same to the Examination Hall. CLAT 2018 Exam Result

CLAT 2018 Admission Procedure
The Admission to UG and PG programmes in participating universities under CLAT 2018 shall be completed through centralised online counselling conducted by the CLAT office. The basis of allotment of seats shall be merit-cum-preference, i.e., the CLAT Rank, the order of preference given by the candidate in the CLAT application form and the category / categories selected by the candidate in the online application form and the number of seats and their division/break-up as available in each of the participating NLU. Online counselling shall start after the declaration of CLAT 2018 Result.

How to Apply For CLAT 2018 Exam: Interested & eligible candidates can apply for CLAT Exam through official website clat.ac.in from 1st January 2018 to 31st March 2018.
