The Central Sector Scholarship is provided to SC students to take up higher studies such as IIMs/ IITs/ AIIMSs/NITs /NIFTs /NIDs/ Indian Institute of Hotel Management, National Law Universities, and other Central Govt. About Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students – Top Class Scheme Scholarship
The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Caste has been renamed as the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC Students and is formulated and funded by the Ministry of Finance Affairs. The scheme is open to candidates who belong to Scheduled Tribe and are pursuing higher studies such as regular and full-time IIMs/ IITs/ AIIMSs/NITs /NIFTs /NIDs/ Indian Institute of Hotel Management, National Law Universities, and other Central Govt. Institutions. There are 750 slots for Scheduled Tribe candidates every year for all the subjects.
The objective of Central Sector Scholarship Application Form 2019-20 – Top Class Scheme Scholarship for SC Students
The objective of the scheme is aimed at recognizing and promoting quality education amongst students by providing full financial support. The Scheme will operate in all the institution notified by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
Eligibility for Top Class Scheme Scholarship 2019-20 for SC Students
The Fellowship/ Scholarship will be available only to the SC candidates who fulfill the following conditions for the award:
1. SC students having total annual family income from all sources up to Rs.6.00 lakh.
2. Having secured admission in a full-time course in any of the notified institutions.
3. All the IIMs/ / IITs/ AIIMSs/NITs /NIFTs /NIDs/ Indian Institute of Hotel Management, National Law Universities and other Central Govt. Institutions will be eligible in the Scheme.
4. Commercial Pilot Training Course and Type Rating Courses all Government/CPSE run institutes approved by the Director-General of Civil Aviation will be eligible under the Scheme.
Top Class Scheme Scholarship Application Form & Renewal 2019-20
a. SC Students who have secured admission in the notified Institutions according to the norms prescribed by the respective Institutions will be eligible for the scholarship under the scheme.
b. The total family income of the candidate to be eligible for this scholarship from all sources should not exceed Rs.4.50 lakh per annum.
c. The scholarship will become payable immediately after a student has secured admission and has started attending the classes.
d. The scholarship awarded, will continue until the completion of the course, subject to satisfactory performance of the students.

1. At first, candidates should go https://scholarships.gov.in
2. National Scholarship Portal home page will appear on the screen
2. Follow the Central Schemes i.e. Ministry of Tribal Affairs – National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST students – Scholarship (Formally Top Class Education For Schedule Tribe Students).
3. Click on Apply button
4. Next candidates need to enter Application Id & password and click the Login button
5. After that candidate should fill the application form correctly.
