CBSE UGC NET Exam 2018 – UGC NET Exam Date: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently declared a UGC NET Examination notification for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and Colleges. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting the National Eligibility Test (CBSE NET) on behalf of the University Grants Commission. The UGC NET is conducting for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Assistant Professor, in Indian universities and colleges.

UGC National Eligibility Test 2018 Examination will be held on 08th July 2018 for the post of Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor. National Eligibility Test (NET) 2018 – Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor

On behalf of UGC, the Central Board of Secondary Education announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 08th July 2018 for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and Colleges. CBSE will conduct NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country.

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject to their finding placement in universities/IITs/institutions.

CBSE UGC NET Eligibility Criteria
1. Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD category candidates who have at least 50% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent are eligible to apply.
2. The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19.09.1991 are eligible to apply. For more details refer official notification.

Age Limit & Relaxation
Candidates age limit should not be more than 30 years as on 01.07.2018. Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category candidates. There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Exam Fee & Mode of Payment
Eligible candidates should have to pay an application fee of Rs.1000/- for General Candidates, Rs.500/- for OBC candidates and Rs.250/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

The candidates may pay the exam fee either by credit/debit card or through e-challan generated during the online filling of the application form. In case of e-challan the payment should be made in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank.

CBSE UGC NET Admit Card 2018
UGC NET 2018 examination will conduct on 08th July 2018 for the post of Junior Research Fellowship or Eligibility for Assistant Professor or both in Indian University. Admit card for the exam will be released around two/three weeks before the exam. CBSE UGC NET Admit Card will be available in cbsenet.nic.in from third week of June 2018. CBSE UGC NET Exam Syllabus & Pattern 2018

Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
