Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle Postman & Mail Guard Selection Process:
Selection process will be made through an Aptitude Test. A total of 100 marks of the 10th standard level. The Aptitude Test will be held objective type comprising of four parts. There is no negative marking.
AP Postal Circle Postman & Mail Guard Exam Pattern 2019:
1. Part-A
Subject: General Knowledge (25)
Qualifying Marks in Each Part: Minimum 10-OC, 8-SC/ST, 9-OBC
2. Part-B
Subject: Mathematics (25)
Qualifying Marks in Each Part: Minimum 10-OC, 8-SC/ST, 9-OBC
3. Part-C (Two segments)
Subject: English Language (25), Telugu Language (25)
Qualifying Marks in Each Segment: Minimum 10-OC, 8-SC/ST, 9-OBC
4. 40-OC, 33-SC/ST, 37-OBC candidates in aggregate with the condition with the condition as 1 to 3 above.
Full Marks: 100
Time: 120 Minutes
AP Postal Postman & Mail Guard Exam Syllabus 2019:
1. General knowledge: Indian Culture & Heritage, Indian Geography, Indian History, Science & Technology, Indian Economy, Indian Polity & Constitution of India, General Science, Current Affairs.
2. Mathematics: Number Systems, Computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, surface area & volume, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentage, ratio & proportion, profit & loss, factors, equations, square & square root, lines & angles, interest, average, discount, indices, algebraic expressions, cube & cube root, graphs, plane figures, place of mathematics in curriculum, evaluation, ratio & proportion etc.
3. English Language: Articles, prepositions, conjunctions, tenses, verbs, synonyms & antonyms, vocabulary, sentences structure, proverbs, idioms & phrases, comprehension, questions from a small unseen passage etc.
4. Telugu Language: Common Vocabulary, Grammar, Use of Idioms & Phrases and their meaning, Sentence Formation, comprehension of passage etc.
