Eligibility Criteria for Kerala PSC Recruitment 2016

Educational Qualification: Candidates should pass in Plus Two Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala of equivalent examination recognized by Government of India or Government of Kerala.

Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 19 years to 30 years. Candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.1997 (both dates included) only are eligible to apply for this post. Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities and Other Backward Communities are eligible for relaxation of upper age limit as per rules.

Male Candidates:

Physical Standards: Height- A minimum of 168 cms, Chest-A minimum of 81 cms around the chest and must have an expansion of 5 cms of full inhalation.

Physical Efficiency Test: All the male candidates must qualify in any of the Five events out of the Eight events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency one star standard test.

Physical Standards: Height-A minimum of 157 cms

Note: Minimum height measurement of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe Female candidates shall be 150 cm.

Physical Efficiency Test: All the Female candidates must qualify any of the Five events out of the Nine events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency one star standard test.

Medical Standards: Both male and female candidates must possess medical standards prescribed below.

i) Ear: Hearing should be perfect.
ii) Eye: Must be certified to possess visual standards specified below without glass.

Distant Vision:
Right Eye: 6/6 Snellen
Left Eye: 6/6 Snellen

Near Vision:
Right Eye: 0.5 Snellen
Left Eye: 0.5 Snellen

Colour Vision: Normal
Night Blindness: Nil

Selection Process: The selection will be made on OMR, Physical Efficiency Test and Endurance Test.
