Eligibility Criteria for Andaman & Nicobar Police Jobs 2016
Educational Qualification: Candidates should Intermediate (10+2) Pass from a recognized Board / University.
Age Limit: Candidates age not more than 25 years for Male candidates and 30 years for Women candidates. The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST category candidates and 03 years for OBC (NCL) category candidates.
Note: Age relaxation of all such candidates would be eligible to be considered subject to the actual period spent as Sarva Shiksha Contract Teacher / Adhoc / Contract for working in any department of A & N Administration.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Written Test and Interview.
Written Examination (300 Marks)
The candidates, who qualify in Physical Measurement (PM) / Physical Endurance Test (PET) shall be put through the written examination. The paper will be both in English and Hindi. The candidates can opt answering in either language except for the portion of language paper, which will contain questions on Hindi and English both.
The question papers will cover general knowledge, reasoning, simple arithmetic, test on language Hindi & English including comprehension, general aptitude and any other topic to check the eligibility of the candidates etc.
Only those candidates who obtain 40% or more marks will be considered qualified in the written test.
The final list of the selected candidates, in order of merit, will be prepared by adding the aggregate scores obtained by candidates in the written test. The list of selected candidates shall be declared based on merit and number of vacancies notified/existing.
