About Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy Government College is established in 2010. It is the Government Degree College in Himachal Vihar, Siliguri, Darjeeling District. Eligibility Criteria for APC Roy Government College Admission With Merit List – Apply Online for BA, B.Sc Hons & Gen Session 2018-19
Eligibility Criteria:
A student may be admitted to B.Sc 3-years Degree Course (Hons) after passing the Higher Secondary examination in general stream conducted by WBCHSE in (10+2) pattern after a period of 12 years study OR an examination recognized as equivalent by the university (Indian School Certificate, CBSE) provided he/she has passed in at least 4 subjects with English as compulsory subject, excluding Environmental Studies / Science / Education. All students who passed the 10+2 exam before 2017 shall be admitted in terms of pre-amended Regulations. The candidates who would obtain either: (i) 55% marks in aggregate or (ii) 50% in aggregate with 60% in the subject shall be eligible to apply for the admission to Hons course in the subject concerned. For SC&ST candidates: (i) 50% marks in aggregate or (ii) 45% in aggregate with 60% in the subject shall be eligible to apply for the admission to Hons course in the subject concerned.
Reservation of Seats for APC Roy Govt. College Admission 2018:
Reservation of 22% & 6% seats shall be kept reserved for SC&ST candidates respectively in all subjects & 03% seats shall be kept reserved for PWD categories candidates.
APC Roy Govt. College Siliguri Merit List 2018:
Candidates will be selected according to their merit for each Honours subject separately. For this a separate merit list will be prepared for each Hons subject from the applicants in order of merit, the criteria having the Merit List. Calculation of Merit Point: Merit Point = (2S + T)/6, T = Marks secured by a candidate at the HS or equivalent examination in English + Marks obtained in the subject opted for Honours + Best marks of only other two subjects (excluding the marks secured in Environmental Studies / Science / Education & the subject opted for Honours). S = Marks obtained in the subject opted for Honours.
