Reservation of 28% seats (22% SC & 6% ST) shall be kept reserved for SC & ST students from the State of West Bengal & Sikkim, who will be eligible for admission as per rules. The following procedure will be followed.
a. Applications in the general category will be arranged in order of merit list including the students of SC/ST category if any.
b. If the ST candidates fall short of the reserved quota, the vacancies will be filled up by the SC candidates. If the SC candidates fall short of the reserved quota the vacancies will be filled up by the candidates of a general category subject to the approval of the District Authority.
Educational Qualification:
Applicants who have passed in Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board / Council other than WBCHSE. Any candidates seeking admission to any Honours Course, they must secure at least 45% in the aggregate (to be calculated by adding the marks obtained in Best Five Subjects) or 50% marks in the concerned subject or related subject in the last qualifying examination.
