Educational Qualification:
Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education in 10+2 pattern with English as a compulsory subject. Students passed in 2016 & 2017 may apply on the condition that 4% marks & 2% marks will be deducted from merit marks respectively.
i) 50% marks in the aggregate & 45% marks in the subject opted for Honours OR
ii) 45% marks in the aggregate & 55% marks in the subject opted for Honours in the qualifying examination.
iii) 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in HS for which Honours has opted.
iv) Candidates belonging to SC & ST category will get a relaxation of 5% marks in case of (i),(ii)&(iii) above.
Ranaghat College Nadia 1st year Merit List Publication Date 2021:
Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit. An Honours candidate is eligible to apply for three Honours subjects in one Admission form. If a candidate is willing to be considered for General course she will have to submit separate Admission form specified for the purpose.
1. Honours Merit list will be prepared by taking the sum total of best scored five subjects + Marks obtained in the concerned subject or related subject.
2. Marks will be deducted @ 2% from the best of five subjects in General Course & @ 2% from the total of (Best of five subjects + Honours subject) in Honours Course in case of applicants of previous year/years.
