Bethuadahari College is established in 1986. It is a General Degree College in Nadia district. It offers Undergraduate Courses in Arts & Commerce. At present, it is affiliated to the University of Kalyani. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This college was established on Oct. 6, 1986. Initially, it was affiliated to the University of Calcutta but in 1999, it is affiliated to the University of Kalyani. Initially, Bethuadahari college started its journey with Commerce stream only. Thereafter, other subjects like History, Bengali, Political Science, Sociology, Philosophy & English in BA Course were introduced.

Educational Qualification:
Applicants must have to pass HS (10+2) exam in Gen or Vocational stream conducted by the WB Council of HS Education or an equivalent exam conducted by other State Board/Council or Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya or National Open School recognized by the Distant Learning Council. Candidates passing HS exam from Vocational stream conducted by the WB Council of HS Education or any other equivalent Board/Council are eligible for admission only in General & Major courses provided that the candidate must have passed in 5 recognized subjects of which one shall be English in the previous qualifying examination. A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate & 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.

Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit. In case of Honours Courses for aggregate (as per previous explanation) plus the marks obtained in the subject in which he/she intends to take up Honours or related subject. However, students, who avail themselves of the Rule-III will not get the benefit of related subject. In case of Major & General Courses for merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate.
