JAM Exam Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2018: Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. for the session 2018 will be conducted 11th February 2018. Online Application for JAM Examination 2018 will be started from 05.09.2017 to 10.10.2017. The syllabus & Exam Pattern of JAM will allow the candidates to know which topics need to study to qualify in the entrance exam. Candidates can download the official JAM Syllabus 2018 released by ITI Bombay for all the 7th papers on this page.

JAM 2018 Exam Pattern
JAM 2018 examination will be conducted for the seven test papers, namely –
1. Biological Sciences (BL)
2. Biotechnology (BT)
3. Chemistry (CY)
4. Geology (GG)
5. Mathematics (MA)
6. Mathematical Statistics (MS)
7. Physics (PH)
All seven test papers will be the fully objective type, with three different patterns of questions as follows:
1. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Each MCQ type question has four choices out of which only one choice is the correct answer.
2. Multiple Select Question (MSQ)
Each MSQ type question is similar to MCQ but with a difference that there may be one or more than one choice(s) that are correct out of the four given choices.
3. Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Question
For each NAT type question, the answer is a signed real number which needs to be entered using the virtual keypad on the monitor. No choices will be shown for these type of questions.
