WB BCW Sikshashree Scholarship Application Form 2019: Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal has provided Sikshashree Prokolpo Scholarship 2019 for SC/ST students studying in class V to VIII. The scheme of Sikshashree Scholarship only for those students who are studying in class 5th to class 8th. This Scholarship is sanctioned for Day Scholars of Class V – VIII in West Bengal, and whose family / Parents income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs per annual are eligible.

About WB Sikshashree Prokolpo Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Candidates
WB Sikshashree Scholarship Scheme has been launched for Day Scholars students of Class 5th to 8th belonging to SC & ST category, enjoys 2 grants Assistance in the form of Book Grant and Assistant in the form of Maintenance Grant. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to improve their participation in Pre-matric stages and minimize the incidence of dropout. There is a ceiling of annual family income not exceeding 2.5 lakhs. A certificate to that effect needs to be provided by the competent authority as embodied in the application form. The class wise rates of such grant paid through Bank Account only.

Candidates can download West Bengal Sikshashree Scholarship Application Form 2019 from the official portal of West Bengal Backward Classes Welfare Department that is – www.anagrasarkalyan.gov.in.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Students should be a permanent resident of West Bengal and belongs to SC & ST category.
2. Only Day Scholar study between Class V (5th) to VIII (8th) are eligible.
3. Anual income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs. A certificate to that effect needs to be provided by the competent authority as embodied in the application form.
4. Students should not get any other scholarship or stipend in any form for the same period. In case it is detected that the incumbent has drawn any amount of similar character from any other source this scholarship has to be refunded.
5. He/she should be a holder of a bank account in a nationalized bank with core banking facility.
6. Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only 1 (one ) year. If any candidates not passed in the same class, he/she will be disqualified for getting assistance.
Amount / Rate of Scholarship:
For Class V (5th) Level – Rs.500 (for SC) / Rs.800 (for ST).
For Class VI (6th) level – Rs.650 (for SC) / Rs.800 (for ST).
For Class VII (7th) level – Rs.700 (for SC) / Rs.800 (for ST).
For Class VIII (8th) level – Rs.800 (for SC) / Rs.800 (for ST).
How to Apply for WB Sikshashree Prokolpo Application Form 2019 for Backward Classes Student:
All the interested & eligible students can download WB Sikshashree Scholarship Application Form in English or Bengali from official website www.anagrasarkalyan.gov.in / www.adibasikalyan.gov.in. This form need not necessarily be obtained from Block / PO office and can be used by copying or downloading from the official website of the WB BCW Department. After download the application form, candidates may submit their duly filled application form along with all relevant documents to the school (where candidates belongs). Original documents will be required to be produced for verification at the time of submission. Payment of Scholarship will be made only through Bank Account.
